Pope says future of mankind at stake over gay marriage
You want a reason for school shootings and so many children being killed and exploited today? “The defense of the family is about man himself. And it becomes clear that when God is denied, human dignity also disappears.” In America the liberals kicked God out of the Public Square, the feminists, liberals all, sought to destroy gender roles, to undermine the family and these people together have succeeded in demeaning human life, making children disposable, taking away normal family life and destroying the souls of children.
Gay Marriage is not about equality for gays, it is now and has always been about destroying the family and that also demands they destroy the very idea of Nature’s God and any final Judgment of souls. Homosexuality is a fatal, seemingly incurable human cancer that, by metastasizing, is destroying whole societies, the family and children in the process. The Pope has it right, the future of the human race and the value of a single human life is at risk with our approval of homosexuality and gay marriage.
To all those liberal fools that will now suggest the above is an expression of hatred of gays, I would direct their attention, acknowledging liberal ADD, to the difference in the words homosexualITY and homosexUAL. To condemn the lifestyle choice of engaging in homosexual conduct (homosexuality) is NOT the same thing as condemning individual homosexuals or denying them their dignity and worth as human beings. God loves the entire world, He invites “whosoever will” to repent, accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord and that glorious, all-inclusive word “whosoever” surely must include homosexuals. Yet, He does condemn homosexual conduct, a man or woman engaging in sexual relations with people of their own gender and that because it is the ultimate form of idolatry, self-worship and is destructive of marriage and the family, both of which God ordained for the human race.
Pope Benedict XVI has weighed in on a heated debate over gay marriage, criticising new concepts of the traditional family and warning that mankind itself was at stake.
“In the fight for the family, the very notion of being – of what being human really means – is being called into question,” the Pope said in Italian during an end-of-year speech.
“The question of the family … is the question of what it means to be a man, and what it is necessary to do to be true men,” he said.
The Pope spoke of the “falseness” of gender theories and cited at length France’s chief Rabbi Gilles Bernheim, who has spoken out against gay marriage.
“Bernheim has shown in a very detailed and profoundly moving study that the attack we are currently experiencing on the true structure of the family, made up of father, mother, and child, goes much deeper,” he said.
He cited feminist gender theorist Simone de Beauvoir’s view to the effect that one is not born a woman, but one becomes so – that sex was no longer an element of nature but a social role people chose for themselves.
“The profound falsehood of this theory and of the anthropological revolution contained within it is obvious,” he said.
The defence of the family, the Pope said, “is about man himself. And it becomes clear that when God is denied, human dignity also disappears.”
On Monday, the Vatican’s newspaper described laws on gay marriage as an attempt at a communist-like “utopia”, a day after tens of thousands of demonstrators turned out in France to support legalising both marriages and adoption for gay couples.
France’s parliament is to debate the government-backed “marriage for all” bill early next year.
With President Francois Hollande’s Socialists enjoying a strong majority, the bill is expected to pass despite vehement opposition from the right and religious groups.
